Every mantra carries a story. This is mine.
I was born and raised in the inner city of Birmingham, England, where opportunity and adversity existed side by side. Growing up, serious crime and violence were an everyday reality. It was an environment that could easily shape the course of a young person's life.
Fortunately, I found a different path.
From an early age, cricket became more than a sport. It became purpose. It taught me discipline, resilience, and the belief that where you begin does not determine where you can go. Through years of dedication, I competed at an elite level, learning from some of the world's finest players and coaches before going on to build a career helping others realise their own potential.
Yet despite the achievements, something deeper was calling.
The sacred mantras that had always been part of my upbringing gradually became far more than tradition. They became a source of peace, healing, and connection, guiding me towards a life centred on devotion rather than ambition alone.
Today, my mission is to share these timeless mantras with the world.
Through music that has reached millions of listeners, a growing global YouTube community of more than 100,000 people, and live kirtan gatherings across the UK and in beautiful locations around the world, including Switzerland and Mauritius, I hope to create spaces where people can pause, reconnect, and experience the transformative power of mantra and kirtan.
